About PG Counselling Process
MCC (Deemed Universities)
The counselling for All India Quota seats/ Institutional Quota/ Domicile (internal candidates) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi), (wards of ESIC insured persons) seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune for the Under graduate is conducted by Medical Counseling Committee/ Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
For participation in Institutional Quota (internal) seats of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/ Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi), internal quota seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, candidates are required to go for registration at official website of Medical Counseling Committee (www.mcc.nic.in).
Candidates of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana would be eligible for participation against the 15% All India Quota seats
Candidates to note that Non- Refundable registration counseling fees and refundable tuition fees have to be paid by the candidate at the time of registration.
Reservation of seats under PH Category has been increased from 3% to 5% and the 21 Benchmark Disabilities as envisaged under the regulations of “THE RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT 2016” are included under the PH category for participation. MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling Process and Steps
MCC NEET UG counselling is conducted online at mcc.nic.in. For AIQ seats, there will be four rounds of NEET counselling, Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and Stray Vacancy Round. The number of rounds will depend on the seat vacancy status. Seat allotment is done for government and private medical colleges, deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS institutes, AIIMS, and JIPMER.There are a minimum of seven steps followed at the MCC NEET counselling. Each step is described in detail below.
Step 1: Release of Seat MatrixMCC will release the seat matrix for MDMS courses across the participating universities offering 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats.
Step 2: RegistrationCandidates have to register for the NEET 2024 counselling for each round, except the Stray Vacancy round. The registration process will be completely online and candidates will have to provide data such as contact details, NEET 2024 Roll Number, Rank and Scores along with other mandatory details. Non-refundable registration fees and refundable security deposit also have to be paid.
Step 3: Choice FillingIn this segment, candidates have to select colleges to which they wish to take admission. Registered candidates will have to log in to the MCC website with their credentials and then fill in choices. MCC states, “It is advised that after going through the list of seats available, a tentative list may be prepared first as per your preference of colleges, before attempting to fill choices online.”
Step 4: Choice LockingThe next step is the lock the choices entered by them. During the choice locking period, it is necessary to lock the choices to get a print of your submitted choices. Cautioning candidates, MCC states, “Don’t wait till the last minute to Register and Lock your choices and to take a printout. Please go through your submitted choices before locking, as once you lock the choices they cannot be modified or changed even if you have made a mistake. It may result in the allotment of a seat which you never wanted. Please note that the choices once locked cannot be unlocked even from MCC.”
Step 5: Verification by Universities and Processing of Seat AllotmentThe universities and colleges will verify the registration details and choices submitted by candidates. Accordingly, they would release the seat allotment result and share it with MCC.
Step 6: Seat Allotment ResultMCC will release the seat allotment result for candidates who had registered and submitted choices following the due process. First, a provisional result will be released and candidates will be allowed to submit objections if any and then, the final result or seat allotment list will be released. Based on their seat allotment, candidates can either accept or go for the institute reporting round. Or they may opt for an upgrade of seats. In the case of the latter, they will have to register for further rounds of counselling.
Step 7: Document UploadAfter the seat allotment list is released, candidates will have to upload documents to the MCC NEET 2024 counselling website. The list of documents has been mentioned here on this page.
Step 8: Institute Reporting In this final step, candidates will have to visit the institutes where they wish to take their medical admission. This step involves verification of the hard copy of mandatory documents and payment of admission fees. Candidates must note that the seat allotment result will be directly released in the last and final round, which is the Stray Vacancy round. Hence, the registration or choice-filling procedure would not be applicable in this round.
How to Convert Nationality From Indian to NRI
Candidates willing to convert their nationality from Indian to NRI had to send the filled up form along with the requisite documents to the email id pg.nri.mcc@gmail.com. The following documents have to be uploaded in the email in the following order:Documents claiming that the sponsorer is an NRI (Passport, Visa of the sponsorer).Relationship of NRI with the candidate.Affidavit from the sponsorer that he/she will sponsor the entire course fee of the candidate duly notarised.Embassy Certificate of the Sponsorer (Certificate from the Consulate).NEET Score Card of the candidate.
Conditions Levied by MCC for Candidates Willing to Convert Nationality to NRI
MCC has laid down the following conditions for candidates who are willing to change nationality to NRI:Candidates must have appeared and qualified for NEET 2024Once the category is changed, candidates will not be able to avail the benefit under Muslim Minority quota/Jain Minority Quota/ SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS or any other Quota.The conversion of the Nationality of candidates from ‘Indian’ to ‘NRI’ is ‘Provisional’ based on the documents submitted by the candidates which will be verified by the allotted college authorities at the time of reporting.
KEA Counselling Process
Karnataka NEET PG counselling for the academic year 2024-25 will begin in July 2024. KEA NEET counselling body will begin the counselling process after the announcement of NEET result 2024. The counselling conducting body, KEA urges the candidates to keep visiting the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in for updates related to counselling and admission in the MD/MS colleges of Karnataka. Karnataka NEET PG Counselling 2024 will be held online for admission to various MD/MS, MDS, courses across government and private medical colleges across Karnataka. The counselling generally comprises two rounds and a mop-up round which is conducted if any seats remain vacant. KEA conducted Karnataka NEET 2024 counselling for 85% state quota and 100% of private college seats. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct Karnataka NEET counselling 2024 for 15 per cent of All India Quota seats.
Karnataka NEET PG Counselling 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for Karnataka NEET PG Counselling 2024, must fulfil the eligibility criteria laid down by KEA:
Candidates must be a citizen of India
He/she must have qualified for NEET 2024
Eligibility for Government Seats:
He/she must have passed Class 10 and Class 12 from an institute located in Karnataka. Also, he/she must have studied for seven years at a government school located in Karnataka, or
He/she must have passed Class 11 and Class 12 from an institute located in Karnataka. Also, either of the candidate’s parents must have studied for seven years at an institute located in Karnataka, or
Candidate and either of his/her parent’s mother tongue is Kannada/Tulu/Kodava. Also, this parent must be a domicile of Karnataka state.
KEA 2024 Registration Process
To participate in the counselling of Karnataka NEET 2024, a candidate must register on the official website of KEA. Follow the steps given below to register:
Step 1: Go to the official website and select ‘PGET-2024 online registration’. Enter details such as the name of the candidate, contact address details, category, PwD status, educational qualification details, date of birth, etc. Application ID and password will be sent to the registered mobile number of the candidate.
Step 2: Upload images of a recent passport-sized photograph, signature and thumb impression (left hand)
Step 3: Pay the registration/counselling fee. The registration fee can be paid online using a credit card/debit card/net banking. Candidates can also pay the fee offline by downloading the bank challan.

List of Registered Candidates
KEA will release a list with the names of all the candidates who had registered for the counselling of Karnataka NEET 2024. This list will be accompanied by the schedule for offline verification of the documents. To proceed further, all the candidates need to complete the verification process.
KEA 2024 Seat Matrix
The Karnataka NEET PG counselling 2024 Round 1 seat matrix will be released by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). As per the revised schedule released by KEA, Bangalore, eligible candidates could make changes to the option entries. Candidates belonging to different categories will be able to download the Karnataka NEET PG seat matrix which will be released category-wise. KEA will release the seat matrix for NRI quota, Private quota, Government Special category quota, Hyd-Kar quota, and General quota candidates for both MD and MS programmes. Verification of Documents
Verification of documents will be carried out in order of the ranks obtained by the candidates. Hence, all the candidates are advised to confirm the rank range, date and time of verification before reporting to the centre. Candidates must carry all the documents in original and a self-attested copy to the verification centre.
At the verification centre, candidates will have to register again and provide all the necessary information. At the verification counter, all the original documents will be verified by the officials and the self-attested copies will be retained. Candidates who complete the verification process successfully will be issued an acknowledgement slip.

KEA Secret Key and Choice Filling
Along with the acknowledgement slip, eligible candidates will also be provided with a secret key. This key is mandatory to fill in the choices on the ‘Option-entry portal’. Candidates are advised to keep the secret key to themselves and maintain confidentiality at all times.
There is no limit to the entry of options in Karnataka NEET counselling 2024. Options recorded on the last day of the notified schedule will be frozen and will be considered for allotment of seats. Candidates must note that this is a one-time process only. Candidates who have entered options in the first round will not be allowed to enter options for the second round. However, candidates may make changes to the higher options.
Seat Allotment List
KEA releases a list of the candidates who have been allotted a seat in the counselling of Karnataka NEET 2024. These seat allotment lists will be prepared based on the merit of a candidate and the choices filled by him/her.
Post-Allotment Process
Candidates who have been allocated a seat in the Karnataka NEET 2024 counselling and wish to continue with the same seat need to confirm their choice on the official website of KEA. He/she then has to pay the fee and report to the allocated institute with the admission order.
